Fees & Financial Aid

Summit Achievement Fees

Summit Achievement’s program tuition is $800 per day, with the average length of stay ranging between 42-56 days. Tuition for the first thirty days is due at the time of enrollment. After the initial four weeks invoices are sent on a biweekly basis for the duration of a student’s stay. There is a $4,900 enrollment fee required for each student.

Summit Achievement asks that all payments be made as direct debits from your account as ACH payments.  If another arrangement needs to be made please discuss it with our Admissions Director.

Financial Aid

Financial Assistance may be available for those who qualify. Summit partners with Sky’s the Limit Fund, a non-profit organization that selectively awards partial grants to wilderness therapy students with proven financial need.

In addition to Sky’s The Limit Fund, we also award  substantial financial aid and scholarships directly to a limited amount of families per year. If you have already explored Sky’s The Limit Fund and need additional information on financial assistance directly from Summit Achievement, please contact the Admissions Department.

We also work with an independent loan organization called Prosper HealthCare Lending. To learn more about the loan process and eligibility requirements, visit their website!

Insurance Reimbursement

As a private pay program, Summit Achievement does not take insurance reimbursement directly but we will work with you to achieve insurance reimbursement. We encourage parents to contact one of the companies below to help with insurance reimbursement. After enrollment, we can do an authorization call to insurance companies.  We provide a tuition breakdown to aid that process. by doing authorization calls and follow up to the best of our ability.  The focus of our clinical team will always be first and foremost on treatment and thus we strongly recommend that if you are interested in insurance reimbursement you work with one of the following companies:

Below are three companies with whom we have worked to help Summit families in the past.

For more information regarding insurance reimbursement for Wilderness Therapy, we encourage families to listen to Episode 144 of the Stories from the Field: Demystifying Wilderness Therapy podcast.
