Therapy. Academics. Adventure.

At Summit Achievement, growth is shaped through a steady rhythm of personalized clinical support, accredited academics, and adventure therapy.

An Integrated Approach to Lasting Change

Most therapeutic programs focus on one aspect of healing. Summit Achievement is different. Our model recognizes that adolescents don’t grow in silos — they need clinical support that addresses their emotional health, an academic program that rebuilds confidence and momentum, and adventure therapy activities that challenge them to apply new skills in real-world contexts.

This integration isn’t accidental. It’s intentional, evidence-based, and designed to create what we call therapeutic momentum: progress that builds on itself, week after week, until students carry their growth into daily life and beyond treatment.

Every week at Summit follows a consistent rhythm. Students engage in individual and group therapy, attend classes in our accredited academic program, and participate in outdoor adventure programming that ranges from day hikes to multi-day expeditions. This weekly cycle ensures that insights gained in one setting are practiced and reinforced in others, helping students build skills that truly stick.

Personalized Clinical Support

Summit’s clinical model is rooted in trust, transparency, and individualized care. Each student is matched with a master’s-level therapist who delivers weekly one-on-one sessions, facilitates group therapy, and guides family engagement. Through evidence-based treatment, emotional skill-building, and daily therapeutic processing, students learn to understand themselves, take accountability, and begin the work of lasting change.

Accredited Academics

Summit offers a fully accredited and equipped academic center. Students engage in a blend of teacher-led instruction and self-paced coursework, allowing them to earn transferable credit while reigniting motivation, confidence, and curiosity. More than just staying on track, students build critical executive functioning and study skills that carry far beyond the classroom and into their next chapter.

Adventure Therapy

At Summit, adventure is more than an activity — it’s a catalyst for growth. Through carefully designed experiences in both natural and community settings, students learn to navigate challenge, build confidence, and practice real-time problem-solving. These shared journeys reinforce therapeutic progress and help students translate insight into action.

Why Integration Matters

The Whole is Greater Than the Sum

Clinical support builds emotional awareness. Academics rebuild confidence and executive function. Adventure therapy creates opportunities to practice new skills under real pressure. Alone, each pillar is valuable. Together, they create something far more powerful: a model where growth in one area reinforces progress in another.

Students don’t just talk about managing anxiety — they practice it on the trail. They don’t just learn time management in theory — they apply it to meet academic deadlines. They don’t just discuss communication skills — they use them to navigate group challenges in the wilderness.

This is why Summit’s integrated model produces lasting results. Students leave with more than insights; they leave with proven skills, tested confidence, and the momentum to keep growing.

Voices From the Summit Community

What types of students does Summit serve?

Summit Achievement works with adolescents ages 13-19 navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other neurodivergent profiles. Our students are willing participants in their treatment and ready to engage in the therapeutic process.

Can we visit during the program?

Yes. Family visits are an important part of our model and are scheduled in coordination with your student’s treatment team.

How long is the program?

Summit’s program length is individualized based on clinical progress and family needs. Students who complete the full continuum (both Venture and Traverse) typically spend 4-6 months at Summit. Those who participate in Venture alone usually stay 6-10 weeks, while Traverse is typically 2-6 months.

What if my child needs a higher level of care?

Our admissions team will help you determine whether Summit is the right fit. If a different level of care is needed, we can provide guidance and referrals to appropriate programs.
