Getting Started
Summit accepts students on a rolling basis throughout the year, with enrollments typically scheduled for Monday and Tuesday each week. We can also make arrangements for other times when families need more immediate support. To begin, complete an online application or contact our Admissions Director at (207) 447-9450. Occasionally, we may request an Authorization to Release Information so our clinical team can gather insights from other professionals who have worked with your child.
What Happens Next
Once we receive your application, our Admissions team reviews all materials to ensure we have a complete picture. The application is then presented to our Clinical Department to determine whether Summit is the right level of care for your child. You’ll typically hear back within one to two business days with an admission decision or a request for additional information.
Preparing for Enrollment
If your child is accepted, you’ll complete enrollment forms that include permissions, payment and insurance information, and other required documents. We’ll also provide guidance on how to prepare your teen for the transition, along with a list of recommended clothing and personal items to bring.
Participation at Summit is voluntary. Each student must understand and accept their enrollment, even if they don’t feel eager or excited about it. We ask that parents accompany their teen on enrollment day to participate in the process and meet the therapist who will be working with your child. If you’re concerned about gaining your teen’s cooperation, our Admissions Director can offer additional resources and support tailored to your family’s situation. We’re here to guide you through this transition every step of the way.
Questions About Cost?
